The August Updates really usher in a version 2.0 of the Alliance and the way the website works. I hope these changes make your stay here a lot more enjoyable! The 2.0 version actually focuses on Knowledge, rather than the DnD route that never really manifested itself....

Superbia, Sentire, my oldest enemies, and perhaps once, friends. The path I have, and to an extent still, walked is not always the least tumultuous one. I’ve always had the sense I can, and should, go it alone, at risk of my own safety. My pride follows like a looming shadow, calling for me to come back. It tells me I’m hardly man enough if I ask for anything, that accepting an outstretched hand will make me weak, make me expectant and dependent. And resentment- that foul animal that speaks in it’s loudest voice when pride is already talking, twisting whatever greatfulness I had for any act of kindness. It reminds me I AM wrak
*weak, that I never should have tried, if I couldn’t do it alone. Over and over it runs through my failures in my mind, pointing at every flaw, building the deepest kind of self-loathing and fear. The two tell me to give into my SINs, they tell me walking in the dark makes me stronger than being out in the light. That somehow, being by myself grants me more strength than I could ever achieve through unity. I know they lie, and I’ve seen their statements as false. Yet, every now and again, I hear them call, and every now and again, my hubris causes me to stray… (oops I sent early lol)
